Beyond France, that is the first market for champagne wines, United Kingdom, Germany and Belgium are respectively ranking as the first, third and fifth foreign markets in terms of bottles (volume figures, CIVC source). The Champagne Lounge – hosted by ProWein Düsseldorf – is a unique showcase for these markets not to forget those spreading across and out of Europe.

Champagne Lounge : a showcase and a unique concept
As a business contacts area, the Champagne Lounge is highlighting the expertise of more than 50 champagne houses winemakers in a setting that is matching the image of excellence and art de vivre of the appellation. The high end environment provides the exhibitors a “jewel case” for export markets while the trade visitor is getting a clear and structured approach of the thematic content.

Tasting area offering the buyers to select champagnes upon their criteria, recommendations given by professionals and a renowned oenologist, between 70 and 80 wines revealed in a friendly and professional atmosphere.

Gathering more than 5.000 exhibitors from 61 countries and 45.000 trade visitors from 136 countries (figures 2024), ProWein Düsseldorf is the reference trade fair in the wine and spirits sector worldwide.

Tasting area offering the buyers to select champagnes upon their criteria, recommendations given by professionals and a renowned oenologist, betwen 40 and 50 wines revealed in a friendly and professional atmosphere, a real must for revealing or rediscovering the best champagne cuvees around a comprehensive interactive program given by renowned experts … a real opportunity to get in touch with decision makers and trade buyers throughout Asia.

At ProWine China, 10 - 12 November 2020

Since its first appearance at ProWine China in 2016, the Champagne Lounge sets itself as a prime venue for business matching between exhibitors and buyers who did not fail to notice this exclusive champagne showcase within the fair.

As every other Champagne Lounge, everything is arranged to host the trade buyers in the best possible conditions whilst the themed tastings given by renowned professionals are further enhancing the unique characteristic of this champagne dedicated showcase.

Whilst China is coming 19th of champagne foreign markets (volume figures, CIVC source), the Champagne Lounge and its rich tastings and seminars program are meeting the demand of a rapidly changing market.

Following the success of first time in Hong-Kong in 2017, the Champagne Lounge returned to ProWine Asia Hong Kong from 7th to 10th May 2019. With a steady growth, Hong Kong – the gateway of Asia – is coming 14th of champagne foreign markets (volume figures, CIVC source) and is positioning itself as the Asian wine trading hub since the government abolished taxes back in 2008.
