ProWein is the world’s leading trade fair for wine and spirits, the largest industry meeting for professionals from viticulture, production, trade and gastronomy.
Three days of concentrated business and a highly promising ancillary program prove that ProWein is THE meeting place No. 1 for the industry. This year's ProWein fair put an exclamation point on 25 successful years of trade fair history at Messe Düsseldorf. "When we launched ProWein 25 years ago, none of us could have imagined just how incredibly it would develop. It's taken a massive amount of hard work and strong support along the way from our partners to grow this exhibition step for step into the world's largest and most important trade fair for wine and spirits. And we've got many things planned for our future as well," says Hans Werner Reinhard, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf.
Over 6,900 exhibitors of wines and spirits were registered for this year's ProWein. They represented 64 different nations, with the exhibition space clearly structured between ten different exhibition halls based on winegrowing country and region. No other event offers a comparable scale and scope.
Specialists in the international wine and spirits sector will be met by more than 6,900 exhibitors from 64 nations, including all relevant winegrowing regions of the world – a total of 300 – plus a selection of some 400 spirits specialities.
Already established as a strong segment organic wine featuring numerous exhibitors and all international organic associations is seeing further growth, amongst other things with the “Organic World” special show featuring some 30 international exhibitors – mainly from Europe. ProWein’s supporting programme is also taking shape: numerous tasting sessions are planned in the extended ProWein Forum in Hall 13 as well as in Hall 10 or direct at exhibitors’ stands. Focal highlights, for instance, include the classily designed Champagne Lounge unique worldwide featuring 40+ tradition-rich Champagne producers. This is located at the heart of the Champagne segment where 150 other brands are presented.
No other trade fair offers such concentrated competence and compact wine knowledge like ProWein in Düsseldorf. That has given ProWein its reputation of being a unique business platform for specialised trade for wine and spirits - food wholesale and retail trade - gastronomy & hotel industry - importers, exporters -mail order business - specialised associations/institutions.
